Medellin, Cebu
I grew up in A.Lopez st. Cebu City where houses do not have enough space for a garden, but my Auntie Carmen still managed to have a small garden of ornamental plants. I saw how she took care of her collections of hanging plants, and I saw her joy and happiness when someone appreciates her plants. It was also the time that our science project was to collect herbal plants and mayana was one of them. Then I started to collect my own plants from a variety of MAYANA, an herb of which you will love the beautiful colors of her leaves. I have found joy in a habit of collecting, from toys, aquarium fish etc.
Today, I am now into BONSAI COLLECTIONS. (see myGallery)
In the process of training my bonsai, it has given me a lot of spiritual lessons and insights. In our instant, microwave, drive-through, “I want it now” culture, patience is hard to come by. I get upset if I have to wait too long in the supermarket line or in paying bills waiting for your priority number to be announced. However, God used this hobby for me to grow spiritually and learn the art of waiting, patience, hope, love and caring. Since God is in control, we can be patient, waiting for Him to work out His will.
By the way, I am a believer of Jesus Christ and a minister of His Gospel. Please try to visit my favorite website www.livingwordcm.com , listen to the sermons of our senior pastor Bro. Mel Caparros and watch him every Sunday 8am at Studio23.
